Dr. Phimon Atsawasuwan

Dr. Phimon Atsawasuwan is a highly accomplished board-certified orthodontist with extensive experience in orthodontic treatment, research, and education. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Atsawasuwan has been recognized for his contributions to orthodontics with numerous prestigious awards, including the Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit from the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO)—one of the highest honors in the field. He has also received multiple Biomedical Research Awards and fellowships from the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation.
Dr. Atsawasuwan’s academic journey spans across three countries, where he has gained specialized training in orthodontics, periodontology, and oral biology:

Educational Background & Training
After completing his orthodontic residency, Dr. Atsawasuwan joined the University of Illinois at Chicago as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Atsawasuwan is deeply involved in teaching, research, and the advancement of orthodontic science. He stays at the forefront of cutting-edge orthodontic technology, regularly publishing case reports and research articles in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific and orthodontic journals.
